10th European Meeting on Glial Cells in Health and Disease

Dear Glial Researcher,

On behalf of the Czech Neuroscience Society and the Institute of Experimental Medicine, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, it is a great pleasure to announce the 10th Europeglia Meeting, which will take place in Prague in September 2011.

The Meeting will be held in the Prague Congress Centre, which has been recently renovated to host meetings with up to 10,000 particpants. The Congress Centre is conveniently located on the Prague metro system, only a short 10 minute trip from downtown, and enjoys sweeping views of historic Prague.

Prague has a long and outstanding tradition in the arts and sciences. Charles University, the oldest in Central Europe, was founded by the Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia Charles IV in 1348. Within the confines of this University, Czech neuroscience was born with the fundamental discoveries of Jan Evangelista Purkyně. Prague remains a centre of excellence in neuroscience, represented by a multitude of research institutes of the Academy of Sciences and departments of Charles University.

We look forward to welcoming you to Prague, where you will find exciting science and a rewarding cultural experience.

Professor Eva Syková
President of the Czech Neuroscience Society
